BayCare plans Bellevue plastic surgery center
BELLEVUE — BayCare Clinic plans to open a new, 12,000-square-foot plastic-surgery center near State 172, by next summer.
The new building at 2605 Development Drive will allow BayCare to have its plastic surgery and aesthetics programs in a single location as well as to keep up with growing demand for services, Dr. Steven Schmidt said. The new building will include space for aesthetics, surgery, nurse injectors and skin care staff.
“Our practice is growing and it will be a lot better for us and for our clients if we’re all in one spot,” Schmidt said.
BayCare Site Manager Andrea Michaud said the organization has already started to add staff. Dr. Elizabeth O’Connor, a plastic surgeon with specialized training in cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery joined BayCare while the organization has added front office staff, as well.
Andrew Vissers , the village’s director of community development, said BayCare Clinic is close to finalizing permits that would allow them to start construction before the end of the year. He said the building’s design and appearance will capitalize on the site’s visibility from Highway 172.
